Akihiko always pursues the highly entertaining music and without doubt, he is one of the representative musicians of Japan.

Born in Tokyo on February 14th. 
His uncle was one of the famous Japanese sax players, and the winner of Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon, the late Hidehiko Matsumoto. 

Since 87’, he has produced over 1,500 songs, with such million sales Japanese artists.  He has produced a great many award winning works such as BMG “SILVER PRIZE”(1991), KING RECORDS “GOLDEN DIAMOND”(1994), MERCURY “GOLD DISK”(1997).  Akihiko has also supported the stages of those leading artists in Japan as a keyboard player.

Also as a music director, he has worked with many movies including “Bayside Shakedown, “Yomigaeru Kinro”(Resurrected Golden Wolf), “Space Travelers”, “Returner”( released in the U.S.), “Bayside Shakedown”, “Negotiator”, and “The Suspect”.  Akihiko was awarded with the Outstanding Award for the Category of Music of the 22nd and the 27th Japan Academy Award. 

Recently, he has released a house music CD with the collaboration of Yoshi, the club DJ of a club, Shibuya WOMB.  Not only Japan, one of their works “Aishu” was in the U.K. house music hit charts.  
Akihiko had also commissioned to work as a music director for the series of “Resident Evil” which is the most well known PlayStation2 software in the world.

Recently, he produced the web and DVD commercial music of Nissan FUGA.( Infiniti M45) and Toyota Zero Crown.  Also, he has been producing the music of the most famous Japanese animation “Black Jack”.  The author of ‘”Black Jack” is late Osamu Tezka who wrote “Astro Boy”.

He owns private studio in Tokyo called “STUIDIO LIGHTS” and most of his works have been produced from this studio.
